My story isn’t unique but my results are!

For decades, I struggled with weight fluctuations. I always had clothes for every size in my closet, ranging from a size six to ten.

My biggest issue was the love I had for food and the hatred I felt for my body. I tied my weight to my self-worth.

For the last decade, I’ve been able to maintain a size six, a healthy weight that allows me to feel confident in the skin I’m in, and no yo-yo dieting.

I am sitting in an emergency clinic - I thought for sure I broke my ankle. The room started to blacken and I began to feel faint (this was not the first time it had happened.) The nurse recognized what was going on and immediately pricked my finger and then gave me a glucose tablet.

You see for years I had struggled with fatigue, unable to focus, raging hunger and uncontrollable cravings. It wasn’t until that day I learned I had hypoglycemia and how our blood sugar truly does control our hunger, cravings, energy, mood - life. 

At the core it’s about feeling empowered, not overwhelmed, by food and nutrition. It’s about using light, science-driven structure to stay the course (and autocorrect if necessary), not being chained to an unsustainable or overly restrictive diet.
